ARTIST – KELSEY WATSON

With the newly built world-class golf course dictating the future of her once coal mining home town in mind, Kelsey makes work to express the push and pull to and from one’s home. In Golf Balls, she examines what a golf ball, such a mundane object, could symbolize in different locations throughout the Halifax Common. The piece raises issues of money and power, nature and the manmade, public green space, disposability and the economic future of NS.
